Bath + Sauna, Big Sky, Montana
A structural reconfiguring of an existing bathroom suite and storage area to include a new primary bathroom, sauna, rinse-off shower and exterior access. An existing 45-degree wall provided the baseline for the geometry, allowing us to take advantage of the corner windows that view Lone Mountain directly to the north and Cedar Mountain to the west.
The material palate of the bathroom interior is dark and subdued, serving as quiet backdrop to the expansive and dramatic view of the Rockies. The sauna features custom cedar finishes with inlayed mahogany detailing and has a new 7-foot square window looking directly to Cedar Mountain to the west.
